TC 1 Candamo | Cohete marks the first scratch of the Princess of Asturias Rally-Ciudad de Oviedo 2018

Rally Blendio Princesa de Asturias

CANDAMO / CAJA RURAL DE ASTURIAS

The first scratch of the 55th edition of the Princess of Asturias Rally Ciudad de Oviedo was marked by the Spaniard José Antonio Suárez Cohete, in his Hyundai i20 R5, with a time of 9: 25,600. The second best time was for Iván Ares, at 9,600. The day has started with difficulty for José María López, who had just won in Ferrol, a puncture in his Citroen DS3 R5and forced him to leave. Marco Bulacia, the 17-year-old Bolivian who was making his debut in the race, and Alberto Ordóñez could not finish the stretch.
Iván Ares, who has come out in third position, has recognized that he has seen on the road the marks of Cohete and Surhayen Pernia, signs that "scare", according to his own words. The Asturian and Pernía have explained at the end of the special that they have used hard tires and that they have skated on the asphalt. For his part, Dani Solá, who returned to CERA this year, has been happy but has acknowledged that "it has not been easy".
The test has started hard with the longest stretch of the entire edition, with sunny weather and a temperature above 23 degrees. The 15.92 kilometers of Candamo are of different types of width but with very good floor in almost all the route. This section, which has five accesses for the public, will have a second pass from 18:48 pm.
